Craig Robinson
Craig Robinson shows
Craig is the station chairman and longest serving volunteer. You can hear him on the Happy Hour, every Thursday at 7pm and 6pm on Sundays with Lindsay McElhone. The Sunday Selection is also broadcast live on Bay Trust Radio.
We posed quick fire questions to Craig, this is how it went:
Nicknames: I don’t really have one, or not one people call me to my face! I don’t like being called ‘mate’ or ‘buddy’ by strangers.
What do you like most about working with PBHR? The people, both within the charity and the NHS. There are so many different backgrounds and personalities amongst the folks, many of them have become good friends over the years.
Favourite Holiday? My favourite destination is Las Vegas, I’ve been 10 times, but in contrast I also love rural France.
First celebrity crush? I’ve never really had a crush on any celebrities. They say never meet your heroes, that is very true. I’ve met quite a few celebs and they’re never quite as you thought they’d be.
Cake or pie? A good quality pie beats cake any time. Steak pie being a winner every time. I love sweet things, but I wouldn’t choose cake first.
Favourite film? That’s a tough question, I have so many favourites. Mrs Doubtfire and Mamma Mia Here We Go Again come to mind.
Favourite thing about County Durham and Darlington? There are so many hidden treasurers here. I never cease to be amazed by the wonders we have on our doorstep. We have miles of wonderful countryside and fantastic places like Beamish and Kynren to enjoy.
Tell us an interesting fact about yourself? I’ve ran 10 marathons. Being previously 20 stone this is probably the thing I’m most proud of.
