Dennis Presented with Mayor’s Award

At a meeting of the Shildon Town Council on Monday 11th March, Dennis Duncan was presented with the Mayor’s award.

Councillor Shirley Quinn addressed the council and gave her reasons for selecting Dennis for the prestigious award. Shirley told the members present about Dennis’s long history of volunteering on hospital radio and his long history of community work.  Despite his disability of having limited eye sight, he hasn’t allowed this to stop him doing his bit for the community.

An emotional Dennis accepted the award and credited his success to all the volunteers at PBHR who have supported him over the years.

Dennis didn’t miss the opportunity to tell the council members how they can tune into his breakfast show, every weekday from 8am!
