Prince Bishops Hospital Radio were invited to attend two Trust Carol services.

On Tuesday 9th December, we attended the service in the chapel at Darlington Memorial Hospital.
Trust Chaplain Catherine Minor (pictured) lead the service with readings from Cameron Mason, Security Officer and Kathryn Burn, Director of Nursing. Music was provided by Steve Collinson and children and teachers from Reid Street School provided the singing.
The following day at Bishop Auckland Hospital, the Chimneys restaurant played host to another service. This was attended by children from Cockton Hill School and a number of patients from the wards.
Jeanette Shaughnessy, Trust Chaplain lead the service and the children entertained the crowds gathered with a selection of traditional carols and even some more modern festive favourites..

Dennis Duncan was there to entertain the patients throughout and in his usual style, had the patients queuing up to have their requests played.

A 1 hour programme will be broadcast on PBHR at midday on Christmas Day featuring highlights from both events. After the broadcast, the programme will be available on our Listen Again page.
