Shirley told the members present about Dennis\u2019s long history of volunteering on hospital radio and his long history of community work.\u00a0 Despite his disability of having limited eye sight, he hasn\u2019t allowed this to stop him doing his bit for the community.<\/p>\n<p>An emotional Dennis accepted the award and credited his success to all the volunteers at PBHR who have supported him over the years.<\/p>\n<p>Dennis didn&#8217;t miss the opportunity to tell the council members how they can tune into his breakfast show, every weekday from 8am!<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6851\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pbhr.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/d1award-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1920\" height=\"2560\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At a meeting of the Shildon Town Council on Monday 11th March, Dennis Duncan was presented with the Mayor\u2019s award.
